The Physical Archive
Mapping strategy, 2017
Center for Art and Urbanistics - ZK/U, Berlin (DE)
The Physical Archive is a mapping and knowledge sharing strategy in progress, dealing with questions related to public art.
In May month 2017 I tried out the mapping strategy at Centre for Art and Urbanistics – ZK/U, specific for art in public space in Berlin. The visitors were invited to participate actively in face-to-face dialogues, where they recalled and narrated a chosen art experience to a professional illustrator, who did a sound recording and an illustration for each shared memory. On the small journey the participants was guided through questions of time, scale, materials, placement, surrounding, up to emotions and atmosphere.
